This is our last of a great month of Holiday themed muffin tin meals.
I had very little ambition today for this meal. I guess I was kind of running low on ideas (and energy). We had been up to my parents house for our Christmas gathering, and E really didn't sleep much, so I think I got about 2 hours of sleep on Saturday. This is on the heels of E having the flu all last week, so she also didn't sleep much last week. And then last night, she was up in the middle of the night, crying for over an hour(except when I went in and rocked her). She has been starting this thing of crying every time I put her down in her bed. I hope this is a short phase.
So anyway, I am exhausted today. We are also in the middle of yet another snowstorm. That itself isn't so bad, but thanks to some old guy pulling out in front of me on my way home, I was rear-ended. Luckily, there was no damage to either car, although my neck/back are a bit sore.
Thus, our muffin tin for today is not all that exciting. I had an idea to do a theme of C's favorite Christmas carol, Baby it's Cold Outside. But with all that has been going on, I kind of just threw a few things together.
C loves watching this clip of Glee with the song:
She watches it over and over and then sings it while dancing around the house. It is pretty cute.
1. But maybe just half a drink more (half glass of chocolate milk)
2. Your eyes are like starlight now (cheese star)
3. Christmas trees-pretzels and spritz (winging it/bad day....)
4. Never such a blizzard before (blueberries dipped in sugar)
5. Waves upon the tropical shore (beachy rice pudding with graham cracker crumbled on top)
6. Listen to the fireplace roar (green bean logs for the fire)
She wasn't too into the rice pudding. She did take a few bites though. When I was cleaning up, I noticed that I accidently bought sugar free pudding. Which may have been why she didn't like it, and I am actually glad she didn't eat it because we try not to give artificial sweeteners.
