We have been working on matching with Miss C, and she knows her colors quite well already. I saw a project here No Time for Flashcards that looked like a great idea. It will help her work on fine motor skills, matching, also I am thinking a little ahead but with sight words too. So last night I got to play arts and crafts. I started with this
I used the a Tupperware to make the circles. I doubled up on paper to make it a little sturdier. I just glued the two circles together.
Then I painted the colors on, and also painted coordinating clothespins. I then wrote the name of the color on each of the pie pieces and each clothespin.
I was a little bit proud of myself! I think it came out pretty good. This morning when Miss C got up I showed her the wheel and she thought it was pretty neat. She had a hard time getting the clothes pins to work, but by the end of the day she was doing a lot better with it. So I guess practice, practice!
So I got home from work today, and I noticed that Daddy had been doing some crafts of his own with C.
Take note of how buxom this little gal is.
So C tells me come see Mommy. When I looked at her, I said WOW, Who is that? She tells me, It's YOU, Mommy! I am not sure if I should be flattered.....?
